First time coming here, weren't sure what to expect. We were going to get a smaller platter but the Director insisted we get the "Director's Cut Edition." So glad we took his advice, it was so so good!! Worth the wait!!! The Director was super super friendly! He explained that each day when he sells out then he's done, mainly because at his age of 70 years old he can only do so many chicken orders... 200 is his limit. Definitely better than any Korean fried chicken we ever tasted!
The place was small and quaint. Televisions on every wall with plenty of interesting K-pop or nature shows to watch while you eat. We got the directors cut special and split between 4 people. Still had a few pieces left over so it's definitely bigger than you think. Phenomenal. Honey mustard sauce, raspberry spicy sauce, and a soy glaze with peppers that was also delicious. The plate has 4 corners on it, one with no spice, and the other 3 with the dipping sauce drizzled on top. The specialty here is the fruit, onion and tomato with jalapeño peppers sprinkled on top of all the chicken. Amazingly, it's so complimentary. You have to try this place. It's not fancy, it's fun. So worth your visit. And the chef is such a delight.
Wow! Love the vibe. The chicken is juicy and crispy. Really enjoyed the no nonsense service and the giant televisions that surround the restaurant, all are on a different channels. We ordered the directors cut for two people, the servings are huge and we had lots to take home.
The owner was very nice and the chicken even better :) lots of tvs on the wall playing k-pop and posters of the movies he's made back then, very cool spot! very beautiful presentation
Great service! Yummy food and so much fun to eat fried chicken this way. My family and I had a delicious experience eating here. The ambiance was very stimulating with all the tv's and K-pop inspired entertainment. Great for all ages!

WOW - we saw this place on TikTok and it exceeded our expectations in every way. I'm not really a fan of fried chicken, but this was incredible. The meat was great, it's boneless and it doesn't have any tendons that make it hard to chew. We got the directors cut with no modifications and that's definitely the way to go.

Best Korean Fried Chicken in ktown ! He is a one man show with a film background that now provides customers with best experience. We took one of his movies home and he was so sweet to sign it.
Gol Tong Chicken is such a great place! The director Gol Tong, is the mastermind behind such a heartwarming place.
When entering, be patient because the director is the main person handling everything. He is always extremely sweet! There are also multiple seating areas in the restaurant.
As for the food - I got the half and half when visiting and it was just great. The flavors are amazing and there is even fruit added!
Overall - Definitely a place to check out!
